Driveaway Insurance

You must purchase a car before the 5 day driveaway is given. Please enquire within for details.

Please make sure you meet each criteria below before making a purchase on a vehicle. All drivers must be aged between 21 and 80. If you are having a parent/friend pick up your vehicle, please make sure they meet the criteria.

No one likes to have their time wasted or their expectations not met. That's why we want to help you to identify whether you may be eligible for the Driveaway insurance cover.

Every Driveaway policy application is assessed against a set of underwriting criteria. To help you get behind the wheel quickly, we've summarised the key underwriting criteria below.

Customer Criteria:

• All drivers must have no more than 2 convictions in the last 5 years (no ban in the last 5 years)
• All drivers must have not more than 2 fault claims in the last 3 years
• All drivers must have a full UK/EU driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year.
• You must be the registered keeper of close relative of the registered keeper
• Drivers are restricted to insured only or insured and husband/wife/civil partner living at the same address
• If any driver is aged between 21-25, the vehicle must be in insurance group 30 or less

Vehicle Criteria:

• The vehicle value must be less than £40,000
• The vehicle must be 10 years old or less
• The vehicle must be in insurance category 40 or less
• The vehicle must have no modifications (other than factory fitted options or disability aids)
• The vehicle must be right hand drive
• The vehicle must have no more than 8 seats (inc driver)
• The vehicle must not be imported other than from the EU
